ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to forbear the third respondent for conducting the Punitha Michael Aathithoothar Alayam Festival situated at Kunappanendhal Village, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District from 21.05.2026 to 29.05.2026 and ensure the peaceful celebration of the said festival by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2026. 2.It is seen from the materials on record that there is a rivalry between two groups in conducting the festival. In such circumstances, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to conduct a peace committee between the two 2/4

groups and a decision may be reached on or before 27.05.2026. Based on the outcome of the peace committee meeting, the celebrations may be permitted. 3.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
