O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner on a complaint given by the wife of the petitioner. Heard both sides and perused the records.

2. On account of disputes between the petitioner and his wife, a complaint was given by his wife, on which a case in Crime No.8 of 2023 under Sections 498(A), 406 and 506(1) of IPC was registered. Investigation was almost completed and within a short time, charge sheet also likely to be filed. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner filed H.M.O.P.No.139 of 2022 against his wife for dissolution of marriage and by way of order dated 30.10.2022, the marriage of the petitioner and his wife was dissolved.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that again under the guise of complaint made by the wife of the petitioner, the respondents police have been harassing the petitioner. 2/5

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on the other hand, submits that on the complaint received from the wife of the petitioner that even prior to the dissolution of marriage, the petitioner has married another person and based on which, thereby inquiry was initiated. The petitioner, instead of appearing to the inquiry, has filed this petition. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that within two more weeks inquiry in respect of petition filed by the former wife of the petitioner will be completed.

5. Considering the submissions of both sides, the respondents are directed to complete the investigation within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This petition is closed. 13.07.2023 NCC :
