ORDER

The petitioner is the sole accused in Crime No.229 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 296(b), 1/4

351(2) of BNS and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act and Section 4 of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. He has moved this petition seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.229 of 2025, registered against him, on the ground of compromise. He has also enclosed the memo of compromise.

2. This Court perused the materials placed on the record.

3. The nature of offence committed by the petitioner is an offence against the Society and it cannot be quashed on the ground of compromise.

4. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with a direction to the respondent Police to find out the truth and file the final report within a period of two months.
