Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the respondents 1, 2 and 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband namely Poovizhiraja's life and liberty as per law within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1, 2 and 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband namely Poovizhiraja's life within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, she got intercaste marriage with the fourth respondent, namely Poovizhiraja. Now the petitioner's father namely Swaminathan is giving life threat to the petitioner and her husband. Hence, the petitioner and her husband filed a petition before the third respondent police seeking to provide police protection to them, but so far, it was not considered by the third respondent police. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3.Mr.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry has been conducted, in which, the petitioner, fourth respondent and the petitioner's father have appeared. During enquiry, the petitioner's father has given an undertaking that he will not give any life threat to the petitioner and her husband in future. Based on the undertaking given by the petitioner's father, the complaint has been closed.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that during enquiry, the petitioner's father has given an undertaking that he will not cause any life threat to the petitioner and her husband, no further order is required in this case. However, if at all any life threat to the petitioner and her husband in future, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the second respondent police for getting appropriate relief. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
