ORDER

The present petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide police protection for the petitioner's life and limb including the petitioner's residing house for the peaceful living in Door No.1091, Muthuraman Nagar, Koviloor, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District, on the basis of the representation dated 21.09.2020 to the 1st and 2nd respondents in accordance with law. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would state that the petitioner is a monk and during enquiry, the respondent/Police came to know that one year back, the petitioner contacted from the above address and now his whereabouts are not known and the summon sent to the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.13034 of 2020 to appear for enquiry was also returned and the Village Administrative Officer has also given a certificate that the petitioner is not residing in the said address and therefore, the respondent/Police closed the petitioner's representation. 3.Today, there is no appearance by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the petitioner also not appeared before the Police for enquiry and it seems that the petitioner is not interested to prosecute his complaint. Recording the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and considering the petitioner's counsel is not present before this Court, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for non prosecution.
