Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the endorsement made as "Thadai Manu" (as per Kuzhithurai All Women Police Station P.S.CSR No.140/15) in the encumbrance regarding Survey No.293/10 of Pacode Village, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2016. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the endorsement made as "Thadai Manu" (as per Kuzhithurai All Women Police Station P.S.CSR No.140/15) in the encumbrance regarding Survey No.293/10 of Pacode Village, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2016. 2.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 3.Heard Mr.S.Sivakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also perused the documents available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.08.2016 on merits and in accordance https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

with law and pass orders on the same, after providing opportunity to the necessary parties, if any, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
