The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Mandamus directing the respondents to conduct Theppa Utsavam at Arulmigu Erumbeeshwarar Temple, Thiruverumbur, Trichy, as per the schedule mentioned in the invitation printed by the respondents i.e on 01.06.2026 at about 08.00 PM.

2.The concern of the petitioner in the Writ Petition is that at the same time, since yet another group wants to organize an orchestra, the Theppa Utsavam is being shifted from the original time. The same is customarily done about 08.00 PM only and it has to be conducted as per the time, that is published in the invitation and the persons conducting orchestra cannot interfere with the same.

3.When the matter came up for admission, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the Temple, on written instructions, would submit that as printed in the invitation, Theppa Utsavam will be conducted at 08.00 PM as organized and the persons, 2/4

who are organizing the orchestra, are requested to conduct their orchestra without interfering with the Theppa Utsavam. 4.Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
