This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary action on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 14.07.2022, seeking to provide police protection to celebrating the temple festival in the petitioner's village, namely, Sri Karuppana Swamy, Sri Rakkayee Amman and Sri Muniyan Swamy temple, situated at Mela Rangiyam Group, Keel Rangiyam village, Thiruppuvanam taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that temple festival for the temple, by name, Sri Karuppana Swamy, Sri Rakkayee Amman and Sri Muniyan Swamy temple, situated at Mela Rangiyam Group, Keel Rangiyam village, Thiruppuvanam taluk, 2/5

Sivagangai District is going to be held from 27.07.2022 to 29.07.2022. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 14.07.2022. But, the first respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.

3.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the first respondent has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4.I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police. 5.In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.07.2022, on merit and in accordance with law, on or before 28.07.2022. 3/5

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
