ORDER
This writ petition is filed for Writ of Certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 27.05.2025.
2. The brief facts, as stated in the writ petition, are that the writ petitioner belongs to the Reddiyar community, and several other caste communities also reside in the village.
3. Admittedly, there is a dispute between several communities and the Adi Dravidar community. Both parties claim the right to administer the temple. Moreover, the temple does not come under the purview of the HR & CE Department. In such a case, where parties are asserting rights over the administration of the temple, an independent authority should determine those rights. Therefore, the parties must approach the Civil Court.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. The impugned order dated 27.05.2025 is hereby quashed. This Court restrains the petitioner and all parties from any community from administering the temple. However, the third respondent/Tahsildar is directed to permit worship by all communities without any discrimination until the issue is settled. Both parties shall not claim any administrative rights over the temple. The aforesaid order shall be strictly adhered to by all parties. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 11.06.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes KSA To
