ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.46/2022 on the file of the second respondent to any other investigation agency or by appointing Special Officer.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner who is the defacto complainant, lodged a complaint with regard to the accidental death of his brother before the second respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.46 of 2022. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence this petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) submitted that the investigation is going on and the same would be concluded within a short time.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side), this Court directs the second respondent police to expedite the investigation and complete the same within a period of four 2/4

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation, being conducted by the second respondent police and the second respondent police is directed to appraise the progress in the investigation every Friday to the first respondent.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
