ORDER

These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court at Magisterial Level, Karur, to conduct speedy trial in STC.Nos.187, 188, 178, 181, 180, 184, 174, 182, 186, 185, 189, 183 of 2022 within the time frame as stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that only for some of the hearings only the accused persons appeared. Similarly, the complainant also appeared for some of the hearings. Later the accused filed the petition under Section 205 of Cr.P.C., before the trial Court to dispense their personal appearance and that are also kept 2/4

pending without any progress. On the above said ground, this petition has been filed.

4. Considering the grievance that is expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner and that the matters are of the year 2022, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Karur, to expedite the trial process in all the above said cases and complete the same within five months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, these Criminal Original Petitions stand disposed of.
