Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give permission and protection to the Minnoli Kabadi Competition scheduled to be held on 01.04.2017 at 07.00 p.m. to 02.04.2017 at 11.00 a.m. in a ground of Arulmighu Sri Alagu Parvathi Ammal Kovil in the petitioner's Village Surandai, V.K.Puthur Taluk, Tirunelveli District, organized by the Thalapathi Kabadi Team on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2017. [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Minnoli Kabadi Competition in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.
3.It is seen from the records that on 10.03.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.
4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without
costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 10.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
