O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent Police to provide protection to the petitioner basing on his representation dated 16.06.2023.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel that the petitioner is running a Mill with 600 employes and the third respondent, who is the elder son of the petitioner, is not participating in the business of the petitioner and that he has attacked the petitioner, on account of which, thereby, the petitioner got injury. It is submitted further that the third respondent with anti social elements was attempting to attack the petitioner, hence, the petitioner has requested the Police to provide protection and that basing on the Rules and Police Standing order by way of representation dated 16.06.2023, the same has not been disposed of.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that there is no threat from his son and the petitioner's son is residing in Germany and that the respondents 2/5

Police will dispose of the application of the petitioner within short time and if necessary, will provide protection.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent Police to dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by following the procedure contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Police Standing Order 334. There shall be no order as to costs.
