Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 11.01.2017 at night in connection with Urchava Thiruvilzha in Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Renganathar Thirukovil at Dharmaapuri Village, Theni District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.12.2016.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal on 11.01.2017 in Dharmaapuri Village, Theni District, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that a representation has been given on 07.12.2016 with regard to granting of permission. But the same has not been considered.

4.Considering the fact that a representation has been given on 07.12.2016 and the same has not been considered, the following order can be passed.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Veerpandi Police Station, Theni District is directed to look into the representation dated 07.12.2016 and dispose of the same within a period of one week.
