O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to issue Patta in favour of the petitioners' house sites situated in Pudukkottai Village, Alangudi Road in Ashok Nagar as per the proceedings No.Moo.Mu.7275/2008, dated 11.06.2008 of the District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioners, the petitioners purchased house sites in Pudukottai Village limit, Alangudi Road in Ashok Nagar measuring 1950 square feet, on 23.03.1998 and they filed a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition before the third respondent/Thasildhar to issue Patta in their favour. Subsequently, a notice was issued by the first respondent to appear for enquiry before the District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai on 15.04.2008 at about 11.00 a.m. Pursuant to the same, the petitioners appeared before the District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai. Thereafter, the District Revenue Officer directed the second respondent to take appropriate action to issue Patta to the petitioners, by proceedings in No.Moo.Mu.7275/2008, dated 11.06.2008. Subsequently, the matter was sent to the third respondent/Thasildhar. Thereafter, the third respondent also conducted enquiry. But, no orders have been passed so far. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present petition.

4. In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders, after giving notice to all the parties concerned within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
