ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant permission and provide police protection to conduct Karagatta programme on 29.05.2026 and 30.05.2026 as part of the temple festival at "Usilampatti Taluk Janakara Kothiram Veerakulam Ramsettivaruthasari Naicker Vagaiyara, A.Antipatti, Solaipatti, Maravapatti, Nattapatti Pangalikalukku Pathiyapattalagum Alagumalayan Sri Pathinettampadi Karuppasamy, Sri Thikam Mal, Sri Thirumalammal Kovil" based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2026.

2. In view of the averments in the petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to grant permission and provide police protection for the aforesaid function. It is made clear that the programme cannot continue beyond 2/5

10.00 PM on the relevant dates. It is also made clear that the police authorities are entitled to interfere and stop the function, in case, if any obscene dances are performed.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
