Respondent Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2017 and direct the respondent to issue the deposit amount Rs.45,69,907/- which was deposited by the petitioner, in the name and style of S.Ramanathan, Second Class Contractor in the petitioner's contract Licence No.k.ngh.4/13408/16 in registered No.53 for the public work for the period of 2010 to 2017.

ORDER

The relief sought for in the writ petition is for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2017 and direct the respondent to issue the deposit amount Rs.45,69,907/- which was deposited by the petitioner, in the name and style of S.Ramanathan, Second Class Contractor in the petitioner's contract Licence No.k.ngh.4/13408/16 in registered No.53 for the public work for the period of 2010 to 2017.

2. Heard Mr.G.Anbusaravanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Murali, learned counsel for the respondent.

3. Though larger prayer is sought for in the writ petition, considering the request now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going in the merits of the case, this Court https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.02.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders after providing opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
