Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for Adal Padal program scheduled to be held on 14.01.2017 at night in connection with "Pongal Festival" at Vayalogam Village, Illuppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.E.Balasubramanian For Respondents : Mr.D.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to grant permission for conducting Adal Padal on 14.01.2017 in Vayalogam Village, Illuppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 03.01.2017 a representation has been given to the respondents. But the same has not been considered.

4.Considering the fact that a representation has been given on 03.01.2017 and the same has not been considered, the following order can be passed.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Annavasal Police Station, Pudukkottai District is directed to look into the representation dated 03.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of one week.
