ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural programme (i.e) Adal Padal on the eve of Arulmigu Sri Poikai Kaliyamman Temple Festival at Kuvalaikanni, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District on 21.05.2026 from 06.00 pm to 10.00 pm. 2.Considering the averments set out in the affidavit, the second respondent is directed to grant permission and police protection to the petitioner for the above said function. However, it is made clear that the function shall be completed before 10.00 pm and there shall not be any obscene dance. In case of any violation, the police officials are entitled to interfere and stop the function.
