PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to recommend the petitioner's village to the respondents 1 & 2 to include the Gazette Notification and permit the petitioner to Vadamadu Manjuvirattu program on 29.07.2023 as part of temple festival of Arulmighu Shri Kunnayiramudaiyar Ayyanar Temple at Kavadhukudi, Devakottai, Thiruvegampathur, Sivagangai District, based on the G.O.Ms.No.7, Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries (AH3) Department, dated 21.01.2017, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2023.

2. The learned Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the third respondent would decide the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.06.2023, on its own merits and in accordance with law and policy, preferably within a period of fifteen days.

3. In view of the said statement, the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.06.2023, would be decided by the third respondent, on its own merits and in accordance with law and policy, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of fifteen days from today.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
