Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant necessary police protection during the conduct of the Temple festival at Sri Arulmighu Kaaraikuthamman Samy Temple at Alangampatti Village, Kambur Post, Melur Taluk, Madurai District from 28.03.2017 to 05.04.2017 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary police protection for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents and represented to the effect that the second respondent has already addressed to the concerned Thasildar for settling a problem that exists between two groups.

3.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 14.03.2017 and if there is any possibility, directed to constitute a Peace Committee and also directed to dispose of the representation, dated 14.03.2017 within a period of three days.
