Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide water service connection to the petitioner's house bearing Door No. 15A, S.Valavandhan Street, Aruppukottai Town, Virudhunagar District within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to provide water service connection to the petitioner's house bearing Door No.15A, S.Valavandhan Street, Aruppukottai Town, Virudhunagar District, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. This writ petition is disposed of at the time of admission after dispensing with notice on the respondents 2 and 3.

3. The inter se dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent cannot be a reason for refusing a water connection to the petitioner. In any event, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 07.05.2025 to the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders after hearing the third respondent.

4. In that event, the private dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent has no nexus with the water connection to be given to the petitioner. Therefore, the same shall be positively given to the petitioner. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to give water connection to the petitioner. The 2/4

exercise shall be completed within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
