The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to issue patta to the Petitioner in respect of property situated in S.No.477/12 to an extent of 6 ares in Thoothur Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.
2.Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the Petitioner, the subject property lies in front of his house and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same for the past 35 years. On the strength of his long possession, the Petitioner submitted a representation on 23.4.2025 2/5
to the respondents seeking issuance of patta in his favour. The same has not been considered till date. Hence, the Petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.
4.Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation submitted by the Petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 23.4.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
