Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the Manjuvirattu on 29.03.2017 in pursuant to the Panguni Thiruvizha of Arulmigu Vendivantha Amman Temple at Perungudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2017 and 14.03.2017 respectively. For Petitioner : Mr.D.Ramesh Kumar For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Jallikattu in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.It is contended on the side of the respondents that the petitioner has given a representation by way of mentioning a place

wherein Eucalyptus grove is in existence. Under the said circumstances, the permission for conducting Jallikattu cannot be granted.

4.Considering the representation made on the side of the respondents, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 5.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation by way of changing the venue of Jallikattu to the first respondent and the first respondent is directed to dispose of the same within a period of two days from the date of receipt of such representation.
