Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the rejection order of the second respondent in C.No.55/Mike/B2PS/2017 dated 15.03.2017 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission and protection for Adal Padal program in connection with "Panguni Pongal Vizha" scheduled to be held on 22.03.2017 at Arulmigu Sri Manthaiamman Thirukovil at Pinnathevanpatti, Kunnoor Post, Theni District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 15.03.2017. [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the impugned order dated 15.03.2017 passed by the second respondent and quash the same, by way of issuing a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus.

Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has contended that the second respondent has given necessary permission for conducting Karakattam for the first day and rejected Adalpadal for the second day by way of passing the impugned order.

4.Considering the fact that the festival mentioned in the petition is going to be conducted for two days, the rejection order passed by the second respondent is liable to be quashed. 5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the impugned order dated 15.03.2017 passed by the second respondent in C.No.55/Mike/B2PS/2017 is quashed in part. The second respondent is directed to look into the representation, dated 15.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
