O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to transfer the case in M.C.No.8 of 2024, pending on the file of the Family Court, Thanjavur to the file of the Family Court, Nagapattinam and dispose the same.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the first respondent has filed the application in M.C.No.8 of 2024 seeking maintenance. Due to threat from the first respondent, the petitioner seeks to transfer the case.

3.Admittedly, the respondent/wife has filed an application seeking maintenance. The convenience of the wife has to be considered than the convenience of the petitioner/husband. In the event if the petitioner is having any threat, it is always open to the petitioner to lodge a complaint. 2/4

4.Therefore, this Court is not inclined to transfer the case. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
