ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the official respondents to give adequate Police protection to the petitioner. 2.The petitioner is having some issues with his brother. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner was assaulted by his brother and hence, he lodged a complaint dated 21.05.2025. However, the same has been treated as only petition enquiry. According to the petitioner, the respondent Police has not taken any action and therefore, the private respondents are often creating problem. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking Police protection.

3.This type of prayer cannot be entertained. At the same time, if the petitioner has lodged a complaint and the same has been treated as petition enquiry, it has to be given to its logical end by conducting proper enquiry. In the event if any cognizable offence is being made out on the petitioner's complaint, then the third respondent Police has to register a case. Keeping the petition enquiry pending for more than two weeks is not permissible. Therefore, the third respondent Police is directed to take appropriate action on complaint of the petitioner and ensure that the parties are living peacefully. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
