ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel for the fourth respondent.
2.The petitioner wants this Court to direct the official respondents to conduct peace committee meeting and make suitable arrangements for celebrating the petition mentioned event. There is no statutory provision under which the revenue authorities can conduct any peace committee meeting. Therefore, the main prayer is not sustainable. I have already held that for conducting religious functions, the permission from the authorities is not required. In this case, the petitioner is facing interference not from any authority but from private parties. Against private parties, no relief can be granted in writ proceedings. That apart, in earlier round, the petitioner had 2/4
already suffered an order. It was held vide order dated 18.10.2019 in W.P. (MD)No.20147 of 2019 that the petitioner will have to necessarily approach the jurisdictional civil Court in the event of facing interference at the hands of private parties.
3.With this clarification, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02.09.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias To:
