O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed by the petitioner for speedy disposal of H.M.O.P.No.679 of 2021 on the file of the Family Court, Madurai.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner/husband filed H.M.O.P.No. 679 of 2021 under Section 13(1)(ia) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1954 before Page No. 1 of 4

the Family Court, Madurai for dissolution of marriage solemnized between the petitioner and respondent on 08.02.2019. It is submitted that the respondent is intentionally dragging on the proceedings by entering only with appearance.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that as per Section 21B(2) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the proceedings under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 has to be tried as expeditiously as possible and to be concluded within a period of 6 months from the date of service of the petition. It is submitted that the proceedings was prolonged for 2 years without any reasons and thus, the petitioner was constrained to approach this Court for speedy dispose of the H.M.O.P.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Judge, Family Court, Madurai is directed to dispose the H.M.O.P., preferably as expeditiously as possible, without giving any unnecessary adjournments.
