ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide suitable employment opportunity to him on compassionate ground, in accordance with law, on the basis of his representation, dated December, 2016, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.According to the petitioner, his father viz., A.Aarumugam was working as Special Sub-Inspector of Police in Mandapam Police Station, Ramanathapuram District from 08.05.2015 and while he was in service, he died on 05.04.2016 due to sudden heart attack, leaving behind the petitioner, the petitioner's mother and his three sisters, as his legal heirs. The petitioner's sisters got married and are living separately in their matrimonial home. Under the said circumstances, within three years from the date of his father's demise, the petitioner made an application before the third respondent seeking appointment under compassionate ground, but, no action has been taken so far.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the application of the petitioner was considered by the authorities and his name was included in the waiting list as Serial No.2816 and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition.

5.Recording the abovesaid submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
