ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner on the basis of his representation, dated 03.12.2021 within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner's father V.Rengasamy was working as a Conductor in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited. While he was in service, unexpectedly, he died on 10.02.2010. After the demise of the said V.Rengasamy, the petitioner's family was subject to penury. As a result of which, on 09.05.2011, the petitioner's mother gave a detailed representation to the respondents by enclosing the necessary documents for disbursing the terminal benefits and also seeking compassionate appointment. Thereafter, on 03.12.2021, the petitioner made another reminder to the respondents requesting to give compassionate appointment to him. However, the same was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition came to be filed. 2/5

3.Heard Mr.K.Gokul, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Jegadeesh Balan, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.12.2021 and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if he is otherwise found eligible. However, this Court makes it clear that this order has been passed without going into the merits of the case. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
