(MD) No.17170 of 2025] PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents 1 to 4 in any manner allowing the fifth respondent from constructing any building in respect of the property belonging to Arulmighu Santhana Mariamman Kovil which is situated at Survey No.395/32 of Sivapuram Village based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2025.

O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to forbear the respondents 1 to 4 in any manner allowing the fifth respondent from constructing any building in the property belonging to Arulmighu Santhana Mariamman Kovil, situated in Survey No.395/32 of Sivapuram Village, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2025.
2. With reference to the relief sought for in this writ petition, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 6 & 7, submitted that the subject property belongs to Arulmighu Santhana Mariamman Kovil. The alleged construction works are stopped. A criminal case has been registered by the Executive Officer of the said Temple. That apart, constructions already made, if any, will be removed in accordance with law.
3. In view of the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, the authorities concerned are directed to complete the
enforcement action as expeditiously as possible.
4. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. [S.M.S., J.] [G.A.M., J.] 14.08.2025 (2/2) NCC :
