PRAYER in W.P.(MD)No.4751 of 2017 : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 21.12.2016 preferred by him as against the order passed by the 2nd respondent in Ref.No.Sattam/SA4/6953/5B/2013, dated 23.04.2014 in imposing the punishment of increment cut for a period of three months with cumulative effects upon the petitioner, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

PRAYER in W.P.(MD)No.4752 of 2017 : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of

Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 21.12.2016 preferred by him as against the order passed by the 2nd respondent in Ref.No.Sattam/SA4/9557/3A/2013, dated 23.04.2014 in imposing the punishment of fine of Rs.100/- upon the petitioner and treating as if the petitioner was absented from duty on 04.02.2014, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

*** C O M M O N O R D E R Writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.4750 of 2017 has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 21.12.2016 preferred by him as against the order passed by the second respondent in Ref.No.Sattam/SA4/6578/5B/2013, dated 23.04.2014, imposing the punishment of increment cut for a period of three months without cumulative effect upon the petitioner, within the stipulated time.

2. Writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.4751 of 2017 has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 21.12.2016 preferred by him as against the order passed by the 2nd respondent in Ref.No.Sattam/SA4/6953/5B/2013, dated 23.04.2014, imposing the punishment of increment cut for a period of three months without cumulative effect upon the petitioner, within the stipulated time.

Writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.4752 of 2017 has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 21.12.2016 preferred by him as against the order passed by the 2nd respondent in Ref.No.Sattam/SA4/9557/3A/2013, dated 23.04.2014, imposing the punishment of fine of Rs.100/- upon the petitioner and treating the petitioner as if he was absented from duty on 04.02.2014, within the stipulated time.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

5. Mr.A.P.Muthupandian, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petitions itself are taken up for final disposal.

6. Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent/Managing Director is directed to dispose of the appeal, dated 21.12.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
