ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.42 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sathankulam.

2.It is seen from records that the defacto complainant has already entered into a mutual agreement with the first petitioner, who is her husband on 27.11.2017. As per this agreement, she has agreed to withdraw the criminal case that is filed against the first petitioner, husband and the second petitioner, mother in law. This Court directed the defacto complainant to appear before https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

this Court in person.

3.The defacto complainant appeared before this Court in person today. When this Court enquired the defacto complainant, the defacto complainant categorically stated that the dispute between the parties have been amicably settled and the criminal proceedings need not be proceed further. She specifically stated before this Court that the criminal proceedings can be closed. 4.Taking into consideration the mutual agreement entered into between the parties on 27.11.2017 and also the statement made by the defacto complainant in person today before this Court, the proceedings in C.C.No.42 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sathankulam, is hereby quashed. 5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is allowed.
