This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.07.2022 seeking police protection to conduct Manju Virattu festival. 2.Heard Mr.G.Sarath Kumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is seen that the petitioner has not even applied for permission to conduct the festival. Since the petitioner has not even seeking permission to conduct the festival, this Court is not inclined to issue a direction to give police protection to conduct Manjuvirattu festival.
