Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.04/PIPS/2017 dated 18.03.2017 passed by the respondent in respect of the Kabadi Tournament in pursuance to celebrate the 69th Birthday of Formal Chief Minister Selvi J.Jeyalalitha (died) and quash the same and consequently directing the respondent to grant permission to conduct the 'Kabadi Tournament' on 25.03.2017 from 10.00 p.m to 26.03.2017 10.00 a.m in pursuance to celebrate the 69th Birthday of Formal Chief Minister Selvi J.Jeyalalitha (died) scheduled to be held in S.P.Ground, Puliyankudi Village, Tirunelveli District.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the order dated 18.03.2017 passed by the respondent and quash the same, by way of issuing a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus. 2.Mr.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has represented to the effect that there is a clash in

the same community and due to that, five criminal cases have been registered. Under the said circumstances, by way of assigning proper reason, the respondent has rejected the permission for conducting Kabadi Tournament by virtue of the order, dated 18.03.2017 and therefore, the relief sought in the Writ Petition cannot be granted. 4.Considering the representation and also the strong objection raised on the side of the respondent, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:- 5.In fine, the respondent is directed to convene a Peace Committee Meeting and if it is possible to conduct Kabadi Tournament, give necessary permission on the basis of the earlier representation alleged to have been given by the petitioner. 6.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
