ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and provide police protection for Adal Padal programme to be held on 25.05.2026 at about 6.00 PM at Arulmighu Sri Ukkiramaakaali Amman Temple and Varasithi Vinayagar Temple at North Street, Piramanoor Post, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, so far, they have not received any written request seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal programme.
3. In view of the abovesaid facts, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the respondents, seeking permission and police protection for Adal Padal programme to be conducted on 25.05.2026. If any such application is filed, the same shall be positively considered by the respondents and permission and police protection shall be granted. It is made clear that the function shall be completed before 10.00 PM on the said date. It is also made clear that the police authorities are entitled to interfere and stop the function, if any obscene dances are performed.

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
