ORDER

The present Review Application has been filed alleging that there is an error apparent on the face of the record in the order of this Court in W.P(MD)No.13532 of 2012, dated 04.07.2022.

2. I have perused the grounds in the review application.

3. The third respondent in the writ petition, who was then the President of the Panchayat has filed this review application on the ground that, certain factors have not been brought to the notice of the Court when orders were passed. In fact, at the time of passing of the orders, the third respondent has also been heard and orders have been passed.

3. Admittedly, the land belongs to the Government and they have granted assignment in favour of the writ petitioners. Due to some reasons, the order of assignment was cancelled by the second respondent herein, without issuing notice to the assignees. Since there was no allegation of ineligibility of the writ petitioners with regard to grant of assignment, this Court has not remitted the matter to the second 2/4

respondent herein. However, this Court has already granted liberty to the official respondents to initiate resumption proceedings in case, if they feel that the land is required for any public purpose.

4. In view of the liberty already granted to the Government, I find that the Ex-President of the Panchayat will not have any locus standi whatsoever to file the review application. That apart, no error apparent on the face of the record could be pointed out by the review applicant. Hence, the review application stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
