PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioner and her family members as well as the petitioner's mother, namely, K.Subbulakshmi's family members and also the petitioner's sisterin-law, namely, M.Santhiya's family members. ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner and her family members, in view of the Crime No.243 of 2021.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that her husband, by name, Murugan was arrested and remanded to judicial custody in Crime No.243 of 2021, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 324, 307, 506(2) of IPC and Section 3 (1) (r) (s), 3 (2) (va) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that even though the husband of the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody, the petitioner and her family members have been harassed by the 2nd respondent herein stating that they will also be implicated in the aforesaid crime. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that only the

Crl.O.P(MD).No.13388 of 2021 husband of the petitioner was involved in the aforesaid occurrence and this petitioner is noway involved in the said occurrence. Since no case is pending against this petitioner, the question of harassment at the hands of the 2nd respondent herein may not arise. 5.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side), this petition is disposed of.
