PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to provide administrative assistance to the petitioner under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, to take re-possession of the secured asset. The petitioner further requests that the respondents be directed to provide police protection to the authorized officer during the execution of the SARFAESI Act and to take necessary action regarding the complaint of trespassing.

The petitioner is a resident of Chennai and he is running a finance Institution at Pudukottai. He has made a request to the second respondent, seeking police protection for his financial institution, which is functioning at Pudukottai and filed this writ petition for a Mandamus to the respondent police to provide police protection. 2/5

2.Mr.Antony Sahaya Prabhakar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that the petitioner's financial Institution does not come under the jurisdiction of the second respondent police and therefore they are not in a position to provide any police protection as requested by this petitioner. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition is closed, with liberty to this petitioner to approach the jurisdictional police station.
