Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records pertaining to the impugned detention order passed by the 2nd respondent made in his proceedings in P.D.No.75/2020 dated 28.10.2020 in detaining the detenue under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as a Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue namely, Mahesh S/o Kaliyaperumal, male, aged about 42 years, who is detained in Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli before this Court and set him at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, Mahesh, son of Kaliyaperumal aged about 42 years, who has been branded as "Goonda" by the second respondent in Detention Order in P.D.No.75 of 2020 dated 28.10.2020, as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.1009 of 2020 contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.239, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XV) Department, dated 11.01.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked by the Government.

3. Recording the above submissions, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
