ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by NOOTY.RAMAMOHANA RAO,J.) This writ petition is instituted seeking directions against the respondents 1 to 3 for removing the encroachments made by the respondents 4 to 8 on the right side of the Kollidam rivar bank at 48.0 mile stone at Pudhukudisai Village, Karuppur Post, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader who has taken notice on behalf of the respondents, has obtained instructions in writing in the matter and based thereon, he would submit that necessary action for removal of encroachments has already been initiated by drawing appropriate notices and issuing the same to the concerned. The process of removing the encroachments is now on and is also being pursued vigorously.

3. In that view of the matter, we record our hope that necessary action would be finalised within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.
