O R D E R

It appears that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 5 to 7 with regard to harvest of the crop in a land in Kulithalai Taluk, in connection with which, the Revenue Divisional Officer has issued summons to both parties to appear for enquiry. Challenging the same, this Writ Petition has been filed.

2. In the considered opinion of this Court, the Revenue Divisional Officer is not a police officer for the petitioner to apprehend that he will be arrested, if he goes for the meeting. It is the duty of the petitioner to appear before the Revenue Divisional Officer and take part in the proceedings, so that, the matter is amicably settled.

3. With the above observation, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
