What is impugned in this writ petition is a show-cause notice issued by the respondent - Electricity Board alleging theft of electricity by the petitioner. In stead of responding to the show-cause notice, the petitioner has chosen to approach this Court directly by invoking its extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

2. When a show-cause notice is issued containing certain allegations as against the petitioner, it is upto him to submit a reply before the Authority concerned explaining his stand. Instead of doing so, the petitioner has chosen to approach this Court directly by invoking its writ jurisdiction.

3. This Court, in these circumstances, is of the view that the writ petition, as against the show-cause notice issued by the respondent - Electricity Board, is not maintainable and the same is, therefore, dismissed. It is open to the petitioner to respond to the show-cause, dated 28.06.2018, issued by the respondent - https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Electricity Board, if he is so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
