ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary police protection to perform the religious festival and Villupattu programme on the eve of Arulmigu Sri Kombu Madasamy and Sudalai Madasamy temple festival at Oorudaiyarpuram, Thachanallur, Tirunelveli District, to be held from 21.05.2026 to 23.05.2026 by considering the petitioner's representations dated 03.05.2026 and 16.05.2026.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the third respondent has granted permission and police protection only for conducting the temple festival and not for conducting Villupattu programme.

3. In view of the averments in the petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to grant permission and provide police protection for conducting Villupattu programme from 21.05.2026 to 23.05.2026. It is made clear that the function shall be completed before 10.00 PM on the said dates. 2/4

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
