This petition has been filed seeking to set aside the fair and decreetal order dated 14.11.2024 made in I.A.No.1 of 2024 in H.M.O.P.No.25 of 2023, on the file of the learned Sub Court, Tuticorin. 1/5

2.The petitioner is the husband and the respondent is the wife. The marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnized in the year 2018. Subsequently, there was a matrimonial dispute and the petitioner filed divorce petition in H.M.O.P.No.25 of 2023, in which the respondent wife filed I.A.No.1 of 2024, claiming interim maintenance. After adjudication, the trial Court ordered Rs.10,000/- as monthly maintenance. Challenging the same, the present Civil Revision Petition has been filed. 3.This Court, on an earlier occasion, by its order dated 29.07.2025 directed the petitioner to pay Rs.7000/- as interim maintenance per month and deposit the entire arrears amount from 14.11.2024 to till date. However, the said order was not complied and no one appeared for the petitioner on 19.08.

2025 and hence the case has been posted 'for dismissal' today. 4.Today, learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father is in hospital, thereby, he is unable to pay the amount ordered by this Court to the respondent. Hence, learned Counsel prays for appropriate orders. Further the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that interim maintenance of Rs.10,000/- ordered by the trial Court for one person is highly excessive.

5.This Court perused the entire records. Admittedly, the petitioner is working as Police Constable and earning a sufficient amount. The trial Court ordered for interim maintenance of Rs.10,000/-, which this Court feels to be very meagre. Further the order of this Court has not been complied with. Hence, this Court does not find any merit in the present Civil Revision Petition. 6.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
