For Respondent : Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.482 of BNSS / 438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.223/2024 on the file of the Respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for 1/3

the offences punishable under sections 406 and 420 IPC in Crime No.223 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on promising to arrange job in abroad, the petitioner herein had received a sum of Rs.3,80,000/- from the defacto complainant and thereby, cheated him. Hence, the compliant.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and his name has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that on promising to arrange job at aboard, the petitioner herein has received a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- from various persons and thereby, cheated him. He would further submit that 25 passports also recovered from the petitioner and the investigation of the case is pending and hence, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor 2/3

appearing for the respondent and also considering the serious nature of allegations made against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
