O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by V. BHARATHIDASAN, J.) According to the petitioner, the detenu namely, Ramya Preethi, W/o.Kumar Durai, aged about 30 years is his wife. Alleging that the detenu has been illegally detained by her parents, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent police. Since no action has been taken by the second respondent, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the detenu has been produced before this Court. We enquired with the detenu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P(MD)No.1346 of 2021 and she submitted that she did not marry the petitioner as alleged by him and they are only the college day friends and she is also not illegally detained by her parents and she is living with her parents only on her own volition.

3. Considering the facts that the detenu has denied the factum of marriage with the petitioner and she is living with her parents and she is not illegally detained by them, this petition is dismissed.
