[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 to 4 not to allow one group to celebrate Vetrivel Murugan Temple festival scheduled to be held on 09.04.2017 by way of excluding other group.

2.It is seen from the prayer that the concerned festival is going to be held on 09.04.2017. Since the date mentioned in the petition has already elapsed, the relief sought in the Writ Petition cannot be granted and therefore, the same deserves to be dismissed as infructuous.

3.In fine, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, WMP(MD)Nos.3988 and 3989 of 2017 are closed.
