Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to instruct the respondents 3 to 6 to take strong action against the anti-social elements, who are committing theft, chain snatching, robbery, rape and murder, contract killings, murder for gain, then only people will get peaceful life in future all over Tamil Nadu by considering the representation, dated 14.03.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the second respondent to give necessary instruction to the respondents 3 to 6 to take strong action against anti-social elements for committing theft, chain snatching, robbery, rape, murder, contract killing and murder for gain on the basis of the representation, dated 15.03.2017, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has vehemently contended to the effect that everyday so many crimes are reported in Newspaper. Under the said circumstances, for the purpose of maintaining peace and tranquillity throughout the State of Tamil Nadu, a representation has been given on 15.03.2017 to the respondents 2 and 3, but the same has not been considered. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has also equally contended to the effect that the petitioner has levelled certain allegations against the Government without any basis and further he has sent representation only on 15.03.2017. Under the said circumstances, the general relief sought in the Writ Petition cannot be granted. 5.Considering the object of the petitioner and also considering the fact that the petitioner has given a representation on 15.03.2017, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

6.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent is directed to look into the representation, dated 15.03.2017 alleged to have been given by the petitioner and also directed to take appropriate action.
